Tutorial: Cloning

Cloning is used to cover up little (or not so little) blemishes or items in an image that might spoil the picture. The most common example would be dust on your camera sensor, which shows up as little dark blobs, but might also include things like unwanted figures in a landscape, bird in the sky etc. If you don't want it there, clone it out!

Step One

The sensor of this camera had a few specks of dust on it, which show up on the image as little dark spots, which in the plain blue sky show up quite clearly.
